Welcome
My name is Challis Gill and I am a technical communicator.
ABOUT
WHAT I'VE DONE
Education. I graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor's degree in English, and an emphasis in professional and technical writing, and a minor in biology.
Experience. In the course of my education and work experience, I have created biographical stories, blog pots, brochures, flyers, guides, handouts, infographics, literary magazines, marketing emails, project timelines, research projects, screencasts/videos, social media posts, templates, websites, and worksheets.
I make the world a better place. As a communicator, I believe that most of our world’s problems could be solved if people communicated effectively with each other. I love information design because I love making things easier to use and understand. It’s my part of making the world a better place.
WHAT I DO
Technical Communication. In simple terms, technical communication is ordering information for people. It is all about finding, simplifying, and conveying complex information for a particular group or audience. It requires a diverse skill set. I love making documents that individuals can actually use, and that they can leverage to understand the world and the people around them.
I can do it better. Everyday we are presented with documentation that we have to interact with, read, and learn from. Too often these documents are hard to use. I can do that better. I enjoy making something substantial that people can see. The reason I really love what I do is the people.
